How Footprint works
From providers' published region lists. Check the provider before deploying. Locations are the provider's published city, state or country, never a data center address. Logos via logo.dev; trademarks belong to their owners.

Method
Each source is fetched and parsed with fixed rules, no model. Data platforms are matched to the cloud region codes they name, so a platform region always sits on a real cloud region. A region missing from its source twice in a row is marked retired, never deleted.
A language model is used only if a platform page stops parsing, and for a weekly news search for announced regions; anything it finds shows an Unverified badge until checked. City coordinates come from GeoNames; AWS publishes its own; Cloudflare locations are their airport codes (OurAirports).
Questions
How many AWS, Azure and Google Cloud regions are there?
Footprint counts them from each provider's own published list, checked every week: the numbers on the map and on each provider page are the live counts, with announced regions shown separately.
Where can I run Snowflake on Azure in the EU?
Open Compare and pick Snowflake on Azure in the European Union: the matrix lists every Azure region in an EU country where Snowflake is deployed, from Snowflake's regions page.
Which regions serve a given AI model?
The Models page lists models on Amazon Bedrock and Azure OpenAI with the regions that serve them in-region, within a geography, or globally, from the providers' availability tables.
Which cloud regions are in my country?
Each country page lists every cloud and data platform region there, grouped by provider and metro, with the source link for each.
Are the locations exact?
No. Providers publish a city, a state or only a country. Footprint places each region at the published city, or marks it as an area when only a state or country is given. AWS publishes its own map coordinates.
How often is it updated?
Every Tuesday at 10:00 UTC. Changes (new, announced and retired regions) appear on the timeline and in the RSS feed.
